During this event, you’ll host a hackathon. We’ll walk you through the logistics of event organizing by covering the basics of reserving rooms, marketing to participants and what to do during the day.
A MLH Localhost Hackathon is an event lasting 12–36 hours on your school’s campus (or other venue!) that brings together the local hacker community to celebrate building awesome projects.
Attendees will spend their time building projects, learning new technologies and sharing their creations over the course of a day or a weekend in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned hackathon organizer or have never been to a hackathon before, an MLH Localhost Hackathon is one of the best ways to directly engage your community.
Participants will be required to have a computer that can connect to the Internet to participate in the !light Mini-Event. Participants will also need to provide their own equipment to utilize in their projects during the hackathon.
